![]() ![]() So when I go there and manually double click them the library manager pops up but says No action was performed, the corresponding VST sounds are already registered. The reason it says you need a Cubase or trial license is for the actual Halion Sonic SE library sound banks, as a Halion Sonic SE license is included in various Cubase. What's going on here, why does it not find the default vstsound files? I think they are supposed to be in C:\ProgramData\Steinberg\Content\HALion\VST Sound. The new free Halion Sonic SE 3 download is just the player engine which will play all the various synth types from the full Halion 6 (samples, wavetables, granular etc). I also downloaded a free guitar harmonics Halion soundbank and that installed correctly and showed up in both the library manager and in Halion itself. It's like the library manager does not understand that it is installed. I checked the Library manager and I have no soundbanks for Halion installed or registered whatsoever. Halion itself installs fine, but when I open it it does not have any soundbanks. I downloaded and installed Halion Sonic SE3. ![]() Those 3200 sounds are meant for Halion Sonic 3 (not SE version),which you can get a trial for 30 days. (2 features that I learnt how to use, and used lots in college.) However, Halion doesn’t have any instruments when I open it in a project. The free version of Halion Sonic SE 3 comes with no content, and so will not include the new FLUX wavetable synth added with Cubase 9.5 or any future new content. This supposedly comes with Groove Agent SE and Halion Sonic SE 3. The point of Halion Sonic SE 3 being free is to allow users to make sample libraries that can be used by anyone. Hi, I’ve recently brought a new computer and installed Cubase Artist 10. It can be used as a standalone application and it can play user created libraries, which wasn’t possible before. Halion Sonic SE 3 missing from library manager. Ok, so this is strange and I don't get why. It is an update for Halion Sonic SE 2 currently used by Dorico and also Cubase to play its stock sounds. ![]()
